While the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran shows some ambivalence about Nowruz, the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq is embracing it as a central part of Kurdish national identity. The KRG Washington representative hosted a huge reception and has sent our greetings giving the mythic background of Nowruz in the origins of the Kurdish people.
